For 38 years, the Intercommunity Justice and Peace Center has been a resource for peace seekers in Greater Cincinnati to come together, share ideas, and create tangible change for a more just world.

On Wednesday, October 4th, we are thrilled to host our first Annual Gathering as Ignite Peace.

This new name embodies our dedication to a peaceful future and the energy and passion we all bring to our shared vision.

Ignite Peace (formerly IJPC), remains committed to the mission of educating and advocating for peace, challenging unjust systems, and promoting the creation of a nonviolent society.

We invite you to join us as we celebrate our rich history while embarking on a new chapter by attending our 2023 Annual Gathering: Forward Together.

Over the past two years, the No Death Penalty Ohio Coalition built a movement that saw historic legislative progress. Though the legislation that would end Ohio’s death penalty did not pass, we are determined to keep pushing for repeal. It’s a new session and new bills ending Ohio’s death penalty are poised for introduction. Join us at a statewide grassroots meeting to learn about the campaign, ignite or reignite the spark for abolishing the death penalty, and to learn how you can play a role.

We need people like you to join the bipartisan movement to end the death penalty.

Join people of faith across Ohio to stand in solidarity for abolition of the death penalty. Recognizing the injustices in our criminal justice system, we are unwilling to participate in the cruel and inhumane practice of sentencing our fellow neighbors to death. We join together across religious traditions calling in one voice for the abolition of the death penalty. Our goal is to register 1 faith community from each of Ohio’s 88 counties.
