Commentary and Contemplation – Judith Effa Ford

June 25 - July 15

Free
Judith Effa Ford, winner of the Clifton Cultural Arts Center’s twelfth annual Golden Ticket Juried Exhibition, presents a solo show at CCAC’s Short Vine Gallery. The exhibition opens on Saturday, June 25, and runs through July 15.
The show incorporates her winning piece entitled ‘BEWARE: she who has been trod upon shall rise mighty and with purpose’ and a body of work that combines the figurative and the abstract in ways that critique and question representations of beauty. Mixed media is foundational to Ford’s process, with paintings incorporating objects from earrings found in parking lots to industrial refuse. You’ll also notice a bold love of color. Ford explains that, to her, art is first and foremost “color and joy and uplifting energy that feeds my soul!”
