In our challenging and divided world of the past years, one of the great ways we have had to come together has been through the Greater Clifton Interfaith Community. Through worship services, lunches, etc., we are learning about each other and how to become the community our faiths inspire! We want to invite you to a Barbecue on the HUC-JIR campus on Wednesday, September 26 at 6:30pm.
This will be special because it is during Sukkot, the Biblical feast of Thanksgiving and we will all eat (weather permitting!) underneath our Sukkah, symbolic of the Feast of Booths.
We will provide the main course, and we hope that you will bring a vegetarian food that represents your ethnic, cultural or religious community! We are excited to begin the new year together, introducing our new dean, Dr. Jonathan Hecht, our new clergy friends who have come to Cincinnati this summer, as well as making plans for the new year! Please feel free to bring a guest. We will be joined by some of our HUC Rabbinical School and Pines School of Graduate Studies students.
We are excited to welcome you to the HUC campus (3101 Clifton Avenue), some for the first time, and others yet again!
Please RSVP to Jenny Mendelson, firstname.lastname@example.org or 513-487-3098, by Thursday, September 20, and let her know how many will be attending, and what dish you will be bringing.
