The King Center is proud to launch its Beloved Community Talks (BCT)national tour in Cincinnati, Ohio at the Duke Energy Center on August 28, 2018, in honor of the 55th Anniversary of the March on Washington for jobs and freedom and Dr. King's I Have A Dream Speech.
The King Center CEO, Dr. Bernice King, invites you to the Beloved Community Talks: Let’s Bridge the Racial Divide. Joining us in the courageous conversation, moderated by CNN Commentator, Bakari Sellers are William Gipson, P&G’s Chief Diversity Officer, Tamika Mallory, Co-President of the Women’s March, Dee Haslam, Owner of Cleveland Browns, Dr. Monty Lobb, Dean of Students at Ohio Christian University, Arno Michaelis, former Skin Head and Writer, Daryl Davis, Activist and Musician and Tim Wise, Anti-Racism Activist. Dr. Bernice A. King will also join the conversation.
This Beloved Community Talks will feature two courageous conversations with corporate leaders, activists, and political commentators with varying perspectives with a goal of hearing and starting to understand each other. Dr. King once said, "Men often hate each other because they fear each other; they fear each other because they don't know each other; they don't know each other because they cannot communicate; they cannot communicate because they are separated."
We know that these courageous conversations will not solve all matters regarding racism, but we do believe it is a step in the right direction of closing the divide and creating an understanding.
