“Walterhoope” consists of professional actors/artists who have been working in New York, Chicago and Washington DC, who are premiering the second event in the first season of their new Cincinnati-based arts organization (sustainable, first-ever zero-waste-to-landfill!), Walterhoope (http://www.walterhoope.com/). This event will take place at 7 PM on Monday, March 26, at People’s Liberty, 1805 Elm St., downtown Cincinnati (street parking available).
This community event includes live poetry, free gourmet snacks, audience interaction, and screening of a locally-made, "series of short cinematic love poems to street harassers," based on the feminist poetry of Teresa Spencer at People’s Liberty in downtown Cincinnati. The films were inspired by the #metoo movement and pull back the curtain on street harassment against women. Teresa, a faculty member at Towson University in Baltimore, MD, will be reading poetry at the event.
