Educators across the region recognize the need and have asked for accurate, engaging and curriculum relevant resources on Islam and Muslims. In addition to the Islamic Center’s Tours and Speakers, you are cordially invited to a very beneficial Educator's Workshop at the Islamic Center of Greater Cincinnati on Thursday, October 25, 2018 from 4:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. in the educational building room E-104
This session aims to empower educators, administrators and other leaders in public and private institutions on contemporary issues surrounding Islam and Muslims.
The program will include recognized instructors who will:
- Provide educators with the tools, information and methods they need on Islam and Muslims
- Educate the audience on the basic tenets of Islam following the “Getting to Know Your Muslim Neighbor” model based on First Amendment Center
- Address common misconceptions and stereotypes
- Highlight Islamic Art and Calligraphy by Dr. Ainsley Cameron, Curator at the Cincinnati Art Museum
