The United States Secretary of State recently announced that the Administration will set the Presidential Determination, the level of refugees allowed into the United States, at 30,000 refugees for 2019. This is the lowest number set in the history of the U.S. refugee admissions program which was formally created in 1980.
You can still help! The Administration is required to consult with Congress in setting the refugee admission level. Please contact your member of Congress to ask them to raise the level closer to its historic level of 75,000.

The We Are Still In Declaration (for organizations, including faith communities) was begun in June 2017 as a promise to world leaders that Americans would not retreat from the global pact to reduce emissions and stem the causes of climate change. (over 200 faith groups have already signed!). Interfaith Power & Light's "We're Still In" statement for households (individuals) and faith communities, HERE.

Interfaith Cincy encourages faith groups to build bridges and relationships across our faith communities. There are many do's and dont's to hosting a speaker of another faith. In order to have a successful event, openness and good communication up front prior to the event is necessary. The Bridges of Faith Trialogue group has recommendations for leading a successful event.
