Abrahamic Religions and The Environment

June 26- Aug 4th Online Course!

This course will examine the sacred texts of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam to discern what they have to contribute to an environmental ethics. Participants will develop skills for interpreting ancient religious texts but will also engage secondary literature by ethicists, biblical scholars, and theologians that address the environmental crisis from the point of view of the Abrahamic traditions. An underlying emphasis of the course will be the participation in interfaith dialogue on the environment, exploring common ground for environmental activism.
