Growing up Smith
Our family-friendly film Growing Up Smith is a timely and upbeat film that peeks into the immigrant experience, steeped in nostalgia for a bygone America. This TIME Magazine "Movie Pick of the Week" is set in 1979 as an Indian family moves to America with hopes of living the American Dream. Meanwhile, their 10-year-old Smith awkwardly navigates his new American dreams of first love and fitting in and his family’s traditional Indian ideals. As the NY Times appreciated, “you don’t need to burden it with politics to be touched by its tale of a child who is pulled by two very different cultural worlds.”
