International Holocaust Remembrance Day

'On January 27, we hope you will join CHHE in observance of International Day of Holocaust Remembrance. The date, the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau, was designated by the United Nations to honor the victims of Nazism and encourage the prevention of genocide.

In the Cincinnati area, there will be a two opportunities to reflect and remember this day. On Sunday, January 24th at 4:00pm at Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion, join us for a screening of the film, Picking Up the Pieces, about child Holocaust survivors that was created by a high school student, Josh Tebeau. Josh will be part of Q&A following the film.

On Wednesday, January 27th at 2:00pm,join us at the University of Cincinnati Judaic Studies department for, Never Forget to Lie, with film maker, Marian Marynski who explores his past and the past of other child Holocaust survivors. The film includes interviews with local Cincinnati survivor, Halina Herman.

Take time this January to remember by joining CHHE for these two powerful films focusing on the youngest victims of the Holocaust.'
