Guest Speaker Mark Hetfield, President/CEO of HIAS, the oldest refugee organization in the world, formed in 1881 to protect Jews fleeing from Czarist Russia. Mark will discuss the international refugee protection framework and its humanitarian and security implications. Mark has led HIAS's transformation from a focus on Jewish immigrants to a global agency assisting refugees of all faiths and ethnicities.
